We are on the hunt for team members to join our Livestock Team as a pen rider at our 20,000 head feeding facility in Jondaryan, QLD.

This opportunity will see you working within a team of 13 to assist with the livestock operations of Kerwee Feedlot, including:

general cattle handling

drafting

cutting out

pen riding and moving cattle within the feedlot

cattle inductions

diagnosing animal health with a strong emphasis on animal welfare

administration of the animal health treatments

maintaining accurate daily records, including data entry.

Our ideal candidate:

You will need to have access to your own horse. We will offer access to stables, paddocks, farrier services, horse feed and vaccinations.

You’ll need good communication skills as you’ll be developing relationships within your team and across the organisation. You should have effective time management skills as you’ll working within a dynamic environment.

You should be a self-starter, able to recognise when a job needs doing and get it done.
Experience within a similar work environment would be highly regarded as well as, knowledge of and ability to work within workplace health and safety and environmental systems.
