For centuries, the Japanese have kept their wagyu genetics under tight control by not releasing genetics to the world until late into the 20th century.  Wagyu cattle are now being bred in a number of countries and more and more people are becoming familiar with the wonderfully succulent tender beef derived from this unique breed.

Wagyu beef, which is rich in marbling and flavour, is also good for your health.  Recent research has identified that apart from being a great source of essential vitamins and nutrients, Wagyu beef is also higher in unsaturated (healthy) fats including Omega 6 and Omega 3 oils, which protect the human body from heart disease, high blood pressure, arthritis, depression and Alzheimer’s disease. 

Stockyard is Australia’s leading exporter of Wagyu Beef.  Since 1994, we have been producing high quality Wagyu beef and providing it to the most discerning palates throughout the world.  Our wagyu cattle are bred and raised by our contracted suppliers who are all professional cattlemen and experienced in wagyu production.  The cattle are fed in our feedlots on a ration that is exclusively designed by our Japanese nutritionist. 

These cattle are then processed and graded under our strict supervision to ensure production specifications exceed the expectations of our customers.

We offer three grades of wagyu product to satisfy your requirements:

STOCKYARD BLACK LABEL
Breed: Fullblood Wagyu or Wagyu F1 or F2
Marble Score: BMS 8 ~ 9
Meat Colour: BMC 1B ~ 3
Fat Colour: BFC 0
Carcase Weight:  350kg to 450kgs
Days on Feed: Minimum 350 days



STOCKYARD SILVER LABEL
Breed: Fullblood Wagyu or Wagyu F1 or F2
Marble Score: BMS 6 ~ 7
Meat Colour: BMC 1B ~ 3
Fat Colour: BFC 0
Carcase Weight:  350kg to 450kgs
Days on Feed: Minimum 350 days



STOCKYARD RED LABEL
Breed: Fullblood Wagyu or Wagyu F1 or F2
Marble Score: BMS 4 ~ 5
Meat Colour: BMC 1B ~ 3
Fat Colour: BFC 0
Carcase Weight:  350kg to 450kgs
Days on Feed: Minimum 350 days
