AUSTRALIA'S BEST BEEF ANNOUNCED

Australia's best beef was set sizzling for the Royal Queensland Food & Wine Show (RQF&WS) Branded Beef Competition on Monday 31 May 2010.  Featuring consistent design and status across all products and classes, they offer producers the recognition they deserve and consumers a great way to pick the best produce.  Stockyard has been awarded the trophy show medal and two gold medals for our wagyu and gold product.

KERWEE MOVES WITH THE TIMES

Kerwee feedlot, owned and operated by the Hart family near Jondaryan in Queensland's South East, was last week announced as the winner of the 2008 Elanco Feedlot of the Year competition for lots with capacity ranging from 3000 to 10,000 head.

Kerwee won similiar back-to-back titles in 1998 and 1999, and has interpreted its success this year as evidence that its culture of seeking continuous business and operational progress is working.

The current Kerwee feedlot site, established 18 years ago, focuses primarily on export markets, supplying Stockyard branded beef product throughout the world. 




RNA BRANDED BEEF WINNERS!

Stockyard is the proud winner of the 2008 Brisbane RNA Branded Beef Awards. Stockyard Gold was the champion steak amongst tough representation from all states.  Judging was based on a number of different attributes required such as tenderness, juiciness, flavour and how the cut graded as a steak or roast.  Stockyard Gold beef also won the 2008 Sydney Royal Show earlier this year with an added outstanding award for excellence in its category.  To enjoy your dual gold medal beef experience please contact us.

 


HOT OFF THE GRILL!

Stockyard was awarded a gold medal in the open class category at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show 2007.  Stockyard Long Fed Gold Sirloin scored a near perfect 92.2 out of a possible 100 points.  Judges commented the steak was well marbled and had excellent eating quality.

To complement this, the entry was given 'The Award of Outstanding Excellence 2007/8'.  This award is not given annually, but only to product that the judges believe has excelled in its class and is truly outstanding food.

Previous news

Stockyard has recently been awarded a gold medal for its Long Fed Striploin at the Sydney Royal Show for 2007.  Graded similarly to the well know wine medal system, only two brands received the prestigeous gold medal.

Also, a bronze medal was received at the Brisbane Royal Exhibition 2007.
